RALLY BIG SUCCESS

The Immigration Reform Prayer Rally held Saturday evening July 17th was a glimpse into the future of greater things to come. With a diverse crowd, Pastors and special guests represented those who stand to lose the most if the Immigration Reform Bill is not sensible and fair.

COAN Senior Pastor Mark D. Boykin opened the evening with a brief history of the bill and the need to insure an equitable reform. Pastor Boykin highlighted fear as the biggest obstacle to success and spoke briefly from the Book of Leviticus on vexation among the people.

With all that is happening nationally and locally with regard to Immigration Reform, anxiety, fear and uncertainty are all natural by products that must be overcome by the power of God. Pastor Boykin encouraged those in attendance to embrace the sojourner for we were all once lost but now are found through Christ Jesus.

The balance of the evening included various pastors praying for specific topics of need and lifting one another up in their own lives.COAN Pastor Ben Gomez closed the prayer rally with words of encouragement and action as we head into the balance of the summer and fall when many new laws will be enacted. LOCAL GROUP CALLS FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM

LUNCHEON: FAMILY, FAITH & FREEDOM

The Christian Family Coalition (CFC) launched its Palm Beach County initiative with a luncheon for Family, Faith, and Freedom at the Boykin residence in Boca Raton. Over 70 people attended the event. The event began with a delicious Brazilian meal featuring churassco. Following the meal, Rev. Mark D. Boykin, the CFC�s Palm Beach County Coordinator, Mr. Tony Verdugo, the Executive Director for the CFC, and the featured guest, Mr. Joel Oster of the Alliance Defense Fund, each spoke. Mr. Oster explained the various ways that our Christian heritage has recently been under attack and encouraged the group to be involved in the fight to protect our religious freedoms. Mr. Verdugo also shared several ways that believers can take a stand for their rights. He encouraged the group to be informed about the issues, to be persistent in standing for their freedoms, and to hold elected officials accountable for their actions. The luncheon ended with an informative question and answer session with the speakers and a closing prayer by Pastor Boykin. FAMILY, FAITH & FREEDOM LUNCHEON

The Christian Family Coalition and Rev. Mark D. Boykin, Senior Pastor of Church of All Nations, invite you to a special luncheon for Family, Faith, and Freedom. Mr. Oster is an attorney who is defending the right of Christians in our community to display the cr�che (nativity scene) along with the menorah and other religious symbols in public venues during the December holiday season. Mr. Oster will be presenting his plan, entitled �Christmas in July,� to move our city officials to grant equal opportunity for the cr�che to be displayed.

House Bill 1143, passed by the Legislature last month, calls for a number of policy changes that will benefit the people of Florida. It contains many administrative simplification provisions that will streamline government and generate savings to taxpayers; it also precludes taxpayer funding of abortion in health plans and requires that a woman be given the option to view an ultrasound before having an abortion.

SUPPORT IMMIGRATION REFORM

As a citizen of and pastor in South Florida, I am extremely concerned about how current immigration attitudes and policies will affect our own international and multi-cultural community. If these negative trends continue, the future of our families, churches, businesses, and economy will be at severe risk. The time has come for change. The time has come for sensible immigration reform!

SLAIN PASTORS MOURNED

BOYNTON BCH.FL. - COAN- Boca Raton was well represented at the memorial for the two young men slain in Boynton Beach preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sponsored by the Christian Defense Coalition, COAN Senior Pastor Mark Boykin ministered to the family and spoke on behalf of Christians everywhere.

Stephen Ocean and Tite Sufra were no saints to begin with. Actively involved in the ever widening gang problem in the South Florida area, Stephen and Tite had a life altering encounter with Jesus Christ changing their lives forever.With a new zeal and fervor for life and sharing their new found faith, Stephen and Tite reached out to fellow gang members with God's liberating message and purpose for living.

One evening several months ago these two young men began to witness to a man in the heart of of Boynton Beach. The man left the conversation upset and returned a short time later and murdered these two brothers in Christ for their beliefs. A third member of the ministry team fled the shooting and survived.

Sunday's memorial was a testimony of the resolve of Stephen and Tite and the ultimate sacrifice they paid for their faith. Following a brief message, a time was set aside to pray and lay hands upon grieving family members. Following the ceremony those in attendance walked a few short blocks to the murder site where they laid flowers and prayed for the memories of these two fellow soldiers of the gospel.

Boykin. �This year�s National Day of Prayer is more significant, in light of U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb�s ruling that the National Day of Prayer, established by Congress 58 years ago, is unconstitutional,� added Pastor Mark D. NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

Celebrated annually on the 1^st Thursday in May...The National Day of Prayer (NDP) was established by an act of Congress which encourages Americans to pray for our nations, its people and its leaders. The NDP Task Force concentrates on the need to pray for those in leadership on all levels of national, church, and educational areas of influence. Church of All Nations will gather with others in prayer at Sanborn Square in Boca Raton, on Thursday, May 6th at 12 noon to pray for the nations and intercede for America and it's leadership.

Church of All Nations will host �five nights of revival�� a time of healing, deliverance, prayer and worship. �We are coming together to defend our family values and the traditions we hold dear in the State of Florida,� said Pastor Mark D. Boykin, �It is sad to see Mayor Frankel and the City Commissioners capitulating to nefarious extremist groups in order to push a radical agenda,� continued Pastor Mark D. Boykin.

�We have so many issues and problems in the City of West Palm Beach, and we need the mayor and city commissioners to focus on solving city issues and not to undermine the fabric of the nuclear family,� added Pastor Mark D. Boykin.

The City Commission of The City of West Palm Beach will be introducing Resolution No. 130-10 supporting Senate Bill 102 and House Bill 2, repealing a 33 year old Florida Law that prohibits adoption based on sexual orientation. The City Commission Meeting will take place on March 22, 2010 at 4:00 PM in the City Hall.

�The State Legislative Session has begun in Florida and there are a number of liberal and self-interest groups that will do their best to destroy the fabric of our society and our family values - we are heading to Tallahassee to safeguard our rights,� said Mr. Anthony Verdugo.

A large contingency will be traveling to Tallahassee to meet with State Elected officials. The following groups will have representation: Church of All Nations, The Christian Family Coalition, Catholic Cultural Fund, Communities Strengthening Families for the Good Life, Cuban American Publishers Association, Democratic League, and the Republican National Forum among others.

Pastor Mark D. Boykin will also be addressing the City Commission Meeting at 4:00 PM in City Hall.

CONGRESSMAN STARK INTRODUCES A BILL THAT WILL ALLOW GAYS, LESBIANS AND TRANSGENDER TO ADOPT CHILDREN

House of Representatives Peter Stark (Democrat-California) introduced a bill last week called: �The Every Child Deserves a Family Act� (H.R. 4806). According to the ACLU�s website this legislation �would help to reduce the number of children languishing in state-run facilities by providing them with loving, permanent home.�

It sounds like a family value legislation, except that it does the opposite. Congressman Stark�s legislation aims at limiting federal funding to states that prohibit adoption and foster care placement based on the potential parents� sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status.

That means Florida. We are the only state in the union that specifically prohibits gays, lesbians and transgender from adopting children. We in Florida believe in �Family Values,� that of a man and a woman raising a family or single mothers and fathers doing the same.

Now with this legislation the Federal government will violate our state�s rights. We must continue the fight to preserve our Family Values and stop folks like Congressman Peter Stark from destroying the very fabric of our society.

It is estimated that at any given time, there are roughly 500,000 children in the child welfare system, with 125,000 waiting to be adopted. What we need is a better system to allow parents to adopt children. We need to strengthen our foster care system and advance child welfare by providing members of our society with a greater opportunity to attain the stability of a permanent home with loving parents.

Congressman Stark, our Florida State Laws with regards to adoption are working. We don�t need you from California or D.C. to tell us to how to legislate in Florida.

LET'S KEEP TERM LIMITS IN WEST PALM BEACH

For quite some time we have been reading and hearing in the news that Mayor Lois Frankel is working behind the scenes to repeal the city charter to scrap mayoral term limits. We need to work together to stop her power grab.

Mayor Frankel can�t seek a third term unless the city charter is changed. Changing the charter requires voter approval. Putting the question before our city voters requires action by the five-member city commission or signatures from about 6,000 city voters to force a referendum.

Here�s where we come in. We need to put a stop to the city charge change and let�s preserve our term limits in the City of West Palm Beach.

If the politicians won�t listen to us, we need to then vote them out. Please send an email and contact every city commissioner and the mayor and let them know that we want them to keep their hands of our city charter and keep term limits.

On Saturday, February 27th I attended the Christian Family Coalition's "2010 U.S. Senate Candidates Forum." All top four candidates for the Senate spoke, including FL Governor Charlie Crist. PASTOR DEDICATES FLOWERS TO LYNN STUDENTS

BOCA RATON, FL -- "It was, that day in fact was the most emotional day that I ever experienced there."

Pastor Mark Boykin of the Church Of All Nations in Boca Raton, just returned from his second trip to Haiti. This time he was able to see Hotel Montana for the first time after the earthquake. He was on a mission. He wanted to remember the Lynn University students and professors who lost their lives in the earthquake.

He bought flowers in their memory.

Pastor Mark Boykin said, "We went to the memorial site and they have pictures there of the deceased and we laid the bouquets down and I was able to say a prayer and have a moment of silent meditation."

He says a man approached him after seeing him put the bouquets at the makeshift memorial.

"And the first thing he asked me was do you feel that this will bring closure to the families who lost loved ones. And my answer to him and my answer today would be I think I can symphathize but there is no way that I can emphathize with what they are feeling."

A spokesperson from Lynn University told us they were not aware of the gesture but are thankful and grateful for any and all support outpouring from the local community.

MILLION YOUTH MARCH

PASTOR MARK D. BOYKIN RETURNS FROM HAITI

On February 15, 2010 Rev. Mark D. Boykin, Senior Pastor of Church of All Nations once again traveled to Haiti to bring much needed relief.

�We loaded our first container to bring clothes and food to 100,000 Haitians,� said Pastor Mark D. Boykin. �I want to thank the South Florida community who helped us raise funds and brought all the items that now are headed to Haiti,� added Pastor Mark D. Boykin.

Pastor Mark D. Boykin who was also accompanied by Rev. Jean Samuel Bruce, Director of Caribbean Ministries for Christian Television Network were allowed into The Hotel Montana and laid twelve bouquets of flowers in memory of each student and faculty from Lynn University that were lost during the earthquake.

Pastor Mark D. Boykin addressed the nation of Haiti during a national three-day prayer and fasting ceremony held in Downtown Port-au-Prince. Pastor Boykin spoke after Haitian President Preval. The gathering, one of the largest in Haiti�s memory, was attended by over 200,000 people and was carried live on Tele-Luminere and Radio Lumniere all over the nation of Haiti.

HAITI FOR CHRIST

A producer from a major international network commented to us that "the whole nation of Haiti has become a church," after watching hundreds of thousands take to the streets to chant and sing for God. Many streets all over Haiti were closed in order to hold Sunday Services.

ADDRESSING THE NATION OF HAITI

Pastor Mark D Boykin spoke to the entire nation of Haiti today on the one-month anniversary of the 7.0 Earthquake that devastated the nation.

Haitian President Preval declared today a day of national memorial. The evangelical community and its leadership then called for a 3-Day of Fasting and Prayer for repentance and to turn to God.

In today's commemorations that began at 6:00 AM, President Preval spoke "not as the President of Haiti, but as a Christian that just like all of you also survived."

President Preval spoke before hundreds of thousand that attended the memorial in front of the ruined Presidential Palace. Pastor Mark D. Boykin was the speaker who followed the President's remarks.

"Today we consecrate the nation of Haiti before our savior Jesus Christ," said Pastor Boykin. He then asked the hundreds of thousands in attendance to stretch their hands towards the Presidential Palace and together they dedicated the nation of Haiti for Jesus Christ.

Pastor Boykin's remarks were carried live to the entire nation over the different Radio Lumniere stations. These FM stations broadcasted the event live. Tele Lumniere also carried the event to the nation over its television station and to the world over the Internet.

HAITI DEDICATED TO JESUS

With the cross and the nation's flag the country of Haiti is coming together to praise our Savior Jesus Christ.

We are participating in the 3-day fasting and prayer called by the nation of Haiti. Hundreds of thousands are in downtown Port-au-Prince.

The nation of Haiti was dedicated to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and President Preval said that today is not a day for the President to speak but a day for the Word of God to be spoken.

NATIONS COMMEMORATE A MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 7.0 QUAKE BY TURNING TO GOD

Haitian President Preval appointed a day of rest for today, February 12, the one-month anniversary of the 7.0 quake that devastated Port au Prince.

Immediately local church leaders added their voice for a three-day fast of prayer and repentance to seek God's mercy on Haiti. I will be taking part in the three-day commemorations.

During this difficult time Haiti is seeking God's mercy with a national call to repentance and prayer. The Christian leadership throughout the country will be hosting events from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Everyone is being encouraged to pray and ask for repentance. These 3-days offer a wonderful opportunity for the people of Haiti to seek our Savior Jesus Christ.

Over eighty percent of Leogane's buildings crumbled into dust when the quake rocked Haiti for 55 seconds on that fateful Tuesday. In the shadow of the capital city, Port au Prince and with all communications cut off, Leogane lay in ruins for six days before the world remembered the village to the south.

At the center of Leogane was a Catholic school, St. Rose de Lima. The afternoon "PM" session was full when the quake struck at 4:53 PM on January 12, 2010. Haitian men digging with their hands rescued sixteen students from the demolished structure. The bodies of twenty-six students and five nuns were removed before a backhoe began to do its work just six days after the quake.

I visited the Montana Hotel and the experience was extremely moving. The Hotel has become for lack of a better word a mass grave. I have stayed in the hotel many times and quite frankly I could not recognize it. The entire structure fell to the ground. No one is allowed inside. Canadian and Mexican crews are still working on removing the bodies out of the hotel. We were one of the few allowed to video record a segment and to place flowers before a makeshift memorial on behalf of our South Florida community.

Pation-ville a city that houses Haiti's elite is now a huge tent city. Every park and empty land is now filled with thousands of Haitians who have made it their homes. Every piece of cardboard, plastic and wood has now become a temporary home.

The Minister of Economy and Finance informed us that over 1,000,000 children are not getting educated because over 5,000 schools have been destroyed and over 80,000 teachers now do not have a place to work. The government is working hard to get the schools open in March.

Thank you to all of you in Church of All Nations and to the South Florida community for the tremendous love and outpouring you have shown the people of Haiti. We need to continue with our prayers and with your financial support.

HEADING BACK TO HAITI TO BRING RELEIF AND TO MEET WITH PRIME MINISTER JEAN-MAX BELLERIVE

I�ve returned once again to Haiti, accompanied by Rev. Jean Samuel Bruce, Director of Caribbean Ministries for Christian Television Network and a camera crew, to bring much needed relief and I�m scheduled to meet with Haiti Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive.

We loaded our first container to bring clothes and food to 100,000 Haitians. I would like to thank the South Florida community who helped us raise funds and brought all the items that are now headed to Haiti.

We are working closely with South Florida organizations, as well as with those in Haiti, to begin Restoration Zones that will allow us to bring much needed aid to the people of Haiti.

SWEEPING CHANGES FOR WASHINGTON D.C.

President Signs Omnibus Bill for Washington D.C. and Lifts a 20 Year Ban on DC Abortion Funding among other issues.

President Obama on December 16, 2009 signed into law the Fiscal year 2010 Omnibus Appropriations bill legislation that includes several provisions for the District of Columbia. The legislation includes the removal of a ban on financial aid for low-income women to receive abortions, expanded benefits for domestic partnerships and an end to D.C.�s school voucher program.

With his signature President Obama now allows funding for low-income women who want to have an abortion. The appropriation bills also ends a popular and successful Community Based Abstinence Education program and lifts a ban on federal funds for needle-exchange programs � which means that drug addicts in D.C. can receive needles for free from the federal government. The bill also legalizes the use of medical marijuana in D.C. by removing a federal ban.

Also taking a hit was the extremely successful School Voucher Program, which allow students from failing schools the ability to get monetary vouchers, which they could apply to any private school in D.C.

FOOD NOW - 1 FEEDS ONE

Over 25 years of outreach efforts to the island of Haiti has positioned Church of all Nations as a key player in an attempt to feed the starving victims of the earthquake that has decimated Port-au-Prince.

Due to overwhelming demands made on the federal governments from around the world and the logistical nightmare they are forced to daily deal with, people continue to starve right before their eyes.

STRUCTURE IN PLACE READY FOR HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS

Pastor Mark D. Boykin arrived in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 and as soon as he landed, he moved forward on setting up the necessary structure to begin to bring all the relief efforts from South Florida to the people of Haiti. �It has been a difficult task, since the infrastructure in Haiti has been devastated, �said Pastor Boykin. The Port-au-Prince airport in Haiti is only available to government flights and direct relief from multi-national organizations. Relief workers have landed on Haiti and now Church of All Nations has set up a structure that will allow us to bring the much needed aid from South Florida to the Dominican Republic and from there directly to the people of Haiti. �I am so thankful to all the people of Church of All Nations and to the South Florida community who have poured a great deal of financial and non-perishable support to the people in Haiti. Now we are going to get it to those in need in Haiti,� added

We are working closely with the National Social Service Evangelical Council who will be helping us in receiving the aid in from South Florida to the Dominican Republic and they will transport it directly to the people of Haiti. This wonderful Christian organization assured us that the containers that will be arriving from South Florida would remain sealed and not open until they arrive in Haiti for distribution.

We are also working closely with The National Evangelical University in the Dominican Republic to assist them in setting up make shift hospitals and clinics to help those in need.

`We are going to set up RESTORATION CAMPS all over Haiti to begin the process for the people of Haiti to get their life back in order. We are going to help them physically and spiritually restore their lives, `said Pastor Mark D. Boykin.

A CALL ON THE CITY OF BOCA RATON TO RESCIND SUNDAY ALCOHOL LAWS

Pastor Mark D. Boykin, Christian Activist and Senior Pastor of Church of All Nations in Boca Raton, Florida, will lead a group of church members and city residents to the Boca Raton City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. �

Pastor Boykin is going to request that the mayor and members of the city council rescind an ordinance that allows the sale of alcohol in Boca Raton�on Sundays beginning at 7:00 a.m.�

The Boca Raton City Council on its Regular Meeting of December 7, 2009 voted for a number of proposals, including changing a 46-year law prohibiting the sale of alcohol on Sundays until 1:00 p.m. and pushing it back to 7:00 a.m.

�First, they vote to purchase a property for $7.5 million without telling anyone the purpose for the building and then they vote to allow the sale of alcohol on Sundays starting at 7:00 AM,� said Pastor Mark D. Boykin. ��I don�t understand their logic," continued�Pastor Mark D. Boykin. ��With alcohol related deaths at a staggering rise and the causes related to alcohol abuse, our Boca Raton City Council has once again come down on the wrong side of community interest,� ended Pastor Boykin.�

Because Florida has no state blue law, the Sunday bans are a local issue. ACLU WEAKENS OUR FAMILY VALUES

The ACLU continues to fight for transgender as our laws weaken our family traditions.� The State of Oregon passed a law adding sexual orientation and gender identity/expression to its anti-bullying law, becoming the seventh state to specifically provide protection to Lesbians,�Gay, Bisexual and Transgender students. �

One month later, North Carolina became the eighth state to do so, when Governor Beverly�Purdue signed that state�s first anti-bullying law.� The Minnesota legislator passed a similar bill, but Governor Tim Pawlenty vetoed it.

The New York Assembly passed LGBT-specific anti-bullying legislation, but the bill died in the Senate.� Bills were also introduced in Arizona, Michigan, Missouri and Virginia.

Bills requiring medically accurate sexuality education were introduced in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Mississippi and Virginia.� A bill was also introduced in Indiana which would require schools teaching abstinence-only sex education to notify parents and allow them to opt-out.

Bills that would have added transgender protections to existing non-discrimination laws passed the New York Assembly and New Hampshire House, but both bills failed in the Senate of their respective states.� Similar bills were introduced in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maryland.� A bill adding transgender people to the Texas hate crimes law was introduced but never taken up. �

All these bills and laws are being drafted with the help of the ACLU, which is doing everything within its power to weaken our family traditions. �

FOX News Network paid a visit to the city of Boca Raton to interview Church of All Nations Senior Pastor Mark Boykin regarding the "Cr�che Controversy."

Following the back and forth between the city of Boca Raton and Church of All Nations, local news affiliates, the Associated Press and now Fox News have visited this escalating event.

After the original cr�che was placed in the lost and found, Pastor Boykin called on his constituents to bring their own cr�ches to place beneath the Christmas tree in the library foyer.

Vowing to stand guard to protect the nativity scenes from further abuse, the cr�ches were taken home as the library closed and returned under the tree on Wednesday where Pastor Boykin continued his vigil.

Church group delivers cr�che to Boca Raton, Florida

The city of Boca Raton, Florida doesn't accept donated holiday decorations, but the policy was not going to deter the Rev. Mark D. Boykin.

A cr�che � a nativity scene depicting Jesus Christ� birth � is the Christian symbol of Christmas, Boykin said, and has a rightful place alongside the Hanukkah menorah that sits atop a table in the city library. There's a Christmas tree nearby, but, Boykin says, that's a secular symbol that doesn't impart the true meaning of the holiday.

So he and about 50 members of the Church of All Nations from Boca Raton, Florida , arrived at the library Thursday afternoon with cr�che in hand. For nearly an hour they sang hymns, recited prayers and waved signs calling for freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Just before 1, they filed inside the library to make their presentation. Library Services Manager Catherine A. O'Connell was expecting them. "We're trying to be non-controversial and enjoy the season without being partial to any religious organization," O'Connell explained before the group came inside. "The menorah is a secular symbol as is the Christmas tree and garland."

Officials in the city manager's and city attorney's offices could not be reached for comment, despite attempts by phone. Encircling O'Connell, Boykin and his followers � accompanied by their own camera crew, which was streaming live to the web � asked her for permission to place the cr�che by the Christmas tree. She explained city policy about donated holiday decorations, then watched as Boykin walked over and gently placed the manger scene beneath the tree anyway. He blessed it and thanked O'Connell for her understanding.

Two U.S. Supreme Court decisions deal with holiday decorations on public property but neither specifically addresses a cr�che alongside a menorah and a Christmas tree, according to David Barkey, southern area counsel for the Anti-Defamation League.

"The Supreme Court says the menorah has religious and secular meaning," Barkey said. "Next to a Christmas tree the overall message is secular and OK. It's never addressed a menorah next to a cr�che, or a menorah, a cr�che and a Christmas tree. It's called the December dilemma and every year the same issue comes up." Boykin, who believes the menorah is a Jewish religious symbol, wants the city to purchase cr�ches just as it has menorahs.

"In 1984, the Supreme Court addressed the constitutionality of a government-erected cr�che. Significantly, the Lynch Court upheld the constitutionality of the holiday display in that case because the cr�che was a part of a larger holiday display in which there were a variety of secular symbols,� Said Jay Alan Sekulow, Chief Counsel for the American Center For Law and Justice, �Courts generally examine several aspects of a display to determine whether a government- sponsored display violates the Constitution. So long as the religious elements of the display are part of a larger holiday expression�with Christmas trees, Santa Claus, or the like�such that the primary effect of the entire display is secular, the display is constitutional,� ended Sekulow.

"This is not about the shades of candy canes or the height of a Christmas tree. It's about eight city-owned facilities where menorahs are present," Boykin argued. "They believe because they have a Christmas tree it should placate all Christians. (The city) is discriminating against Christians."

As Boykin and his followers left the library O'Connell wished the group happy holidays.

"Merry Christmas," Boykin replied. What will happen to the donated cr�che is anybody's guess. "We're don't have responsibility for it," O'Connell said.

SWEET IS THE VICTORY!

I am both humbled and overjoyed at today�s success in downtown Boca Raton. To be allowed to put a Christmas Cr�che' (Nativity Scene) in the Boca Raton public library, following an intense battle with city officials was the result of God's grace and the prayers of His people.

Gathering outside the library with a crowd of close to 65 people was an amazing sight. To see God's hand in action and the faith of His people was truly inspiring. To finally walk away from a situation such as this with victory in hand is truly a testament to the faithfulness of the God we serve.

I would like to thank all those who participated and stood for their beliefs in the face of adversity. It was awesome to see this effort after so many years in ministry. I would also like to thank the city of Boca Raton for their assistance in allowing us to express our first amendment rights in this matter.

MY STATEMENT... A CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE

We are gathered here today to test the legitimacy we have been promised in the Constitution of the United States, and to see if indeed a city municipality has the sole right to usurp the free exercise of our religious expression. To borrow words from Abraham Lincoln�s Gettysburg Address: �

�Now we are engaged in a great civil �discourse� testing whether that nation so conceived can long endure.� And to add to that notion that this city, or any other for that matter, cannot long endure while half of its citizens enjoy the full measure of liberty while the other is deprived of that most previous right � The right of �Freedom of Religion�!

Our constitution is a promissory note that guarantees the religious freedom of all its constituents. Furthermore, this city can never achieve religious harmony if half of its citizens are marginalized, denigrated and discriminated against.

Today we have come to put an end to the ugly specter of religious inequality and discrimination so blatantly displayed of late in the city of Boca Raton.
As long as half of our citizens� freedoms are impugned, we have made a mockery of the very tenets of our constitution.

This body of elected officials mouth the policies of religious tolerance and freedom of worship while their lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification. We as representatives of the Christian community and citizens of this great city have come to question how long this administration will discriminate and trammel underfoot the time-honored oath they are commissioned to uphold. We cannot, we must not, allow for even one omission of the freedoms our forebears fought to guarantee. And we cannot allow a small committee of elected officials to undermine what every American is guaranteed.

Specifically, and to be sure, the denial of religious freedom of half of our citizens is in the fact a denial of the religious freedom of all of our citizens. We have not gathered on this historic landmark to argue a moot point about the shades of �candy canes,� or the height of a Christmas tree. We are here for the express purpose of placing a Christmas cr�che in each of the eight city owned facilities that presently display the �Menorah� while once again the baby Jesus is forbidden entry into their hallowed grounds

ACLU COURT ORDER FORCES CHRISTIANS INTO THE CLOSET AT SANTA ROSA COUNTY SCHOOLS

Testimony concluded this week in the trial in which Christian Educators Association International (�CEAI�) is seeking to protect the rights of Santa Rosa School District employees by intervening in a case with the goal of overturning an ACLU court order that has already resulted in three school officials being charged with contempt.

Liberty Counsel represents CEAI. Under the order crafted by the ACLU, school officials are considered to be acting in their �official capacity� during a �school event.� At �school events,� �communication with a deity� is prohibited. �School officials� cannot even show agreement with anyone �communicating with a deity,� such as �bowing the head� or �folding hands.� �School officials� must also prohibit �third-parties� from praying.

Testimony revealed how this order has literally driven Christians to hide in closets to pray in order to avoid contempt charges. During her testimony, Michelle Winkler, a clerical assistant, broke down on the witness stand when she described how a coworker sought comfort from her after losing her two-year-old child. The two hid behind a closet door to pray, for fear they would be seen and held in contempt of the court order.

Denise Gibson, an elementary teacher for 20 years, testified that the order forces her to tell parents she cannot respond if they talk about church or their faith. She may not even respond to an email from a parent if it contains a Scripture verse or �God bless you.� Instead, the District requires her to open a separate email to respond rather than hit �reply,� in order to eliminate any trace of religious language.

They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America is a federation of 94 independent Planned Parenthood affiliates around the United States. These affiliates together operate more than 850 locations with a total budget of $1 Billion, offering a variety of information and procedures to more than three million people, including: abortion, contraceptive (birth control); emergency contraception; screening for breast, cervical and testicular cancers; pregnancy testing and pregnancy options counseling; testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases; comprehensive sexuality education, menopause treatments; vasectomies and tubal ligations, and more.

Planned Parenthood describes itself as "the nation's leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate and provider." In 2007, Planned Parenthood affiliates performed 305,310 medical and surgical abortions, up from 289,750 in 2006, according to their annual report.

Planned Parenthood receives about a third of its money in government grants and contracts ($349.6 million in FY 2008). In the 2007�08 Annual Report, clinic income totaled $374.7 million and miscellaneous operating revenues $68.9 million. Planned Parenthood is also heavily sponsored by private individuals, with over 700,000 active individual contributors. One of their larger donors is the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which contributes a substantial part of the organization's annual budget.

In 2002 a pro-life activist, posing as a 13-year-old impregnated by her 22-year-old boyfriend, called over 800 clinics requesting an abortion. The Texas group claimed over 90% of the clinics agreed to her request not to report the boyfriend to the police for statutory rape.

In December 2008, Planned Parenthood suspended a nurse after Live Action Films, a University of California, Los Angeles pro-life student organization, released an undercover investigative video showing the nurse at an Indiana Planned Parenthood clinic encouraging a young woman, who was posing as a 13-year old girl impregnated by a 31-year old man, to lie about the age of her partner to avoid reporting statutory rape under Indiana law.

In 2007, The Advocate magazine, which is run by Live Action Films, called Planned Parenthood offices in several states, offering to make donations if the money can be earmarked to abort black women's babies. The calls included one in July 2007 to Planned Parenthood of Idaho offering a donation if it could be earmarked for abortions for black women because, "the less black kids out there the better." Answering the phone call, the state organization's vice president of development and marketing said, "Understandable, understandable" and continued, "Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time I've had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I'm excited and want to make sure I don't leave anything out."

The House's proposed health national health plan would establish "school-based health clinics" on campuses, and one group is warning it could give Planned Parenthood direct access to American school children at taxpayer expense.

The American Family Association, or AFA, is warning that Section 2511 of H.R.3200, or the House plan, titled "School-Based Health Clinics," allows a "non-profit health agency" to serve as a "sponsoring facility" for health clinics that operate during school hours. AFA has provided a document with actual language from H.R.3200 that outlines requirements for the program.

AFA notes that under this provision Planned Parenthood would be authorized to serve as a "sponsoring facility" for the nation's schools."Although the bulk of the health care bill is scheduled to go into effect in 2013, this particular provision is slated to go into effect next summer, in time for clinics to appear in public schools by next fall," an AFA memo stated.The bill requires that the school-based health clinic "provide on-site access during the academic day when school is in session" and have "an established network of support and access to services with backup health providers when the school or [clinic] is closed."

H.R.3200 requires that health clinics be given preference for the program if they have a demonstrated record of service to:

1) a high percentage of medically underserved children and adolescents and

2) communities or populations in which children and adolescents have difficulty accessing health and mental health services.

The clinics will be required to provide comprehensive primary health services, including the following [emphasis added]: Physicals � comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis and treatment of minor, acute and chronic medical conditions and referrals to and follow-up for specialty care. Mental health � mental health assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, treatment and referral to a continuum of services including emergency psychiatric care, community support programs, inpatient care and outpatient programs. Optional health services � additional services, which may include oral health, social and age-appropriate health education services, including nutritional counseling. The school-based health clinics will be located in, or adjacent to, school facilities and must provide, at a minimum, comprehensive primary health services during school hours.

Abby Johnson, stepped down as director for Planned Parenthood of Bryan, Texas after a life changing change of heart. The Bryan Health Services center of Bryan, Texas has been providing abortion services since 1973. Currently, it only provides abortion services. No other health services are provided.

Abby Johnson is now a pro-lifer thanks to her involvement with "The Coalition For LIfe" a pro-life organization whose offices are down the block from the abortion clinic. The Coalition For Life, whose motto "ending the abortion in The Brazos valley" had been protesting in front of The Bryan Health Services and Abortion Center for years.

Abby Johnson interacted with the Director of "The Coalition For Life" and then gave her life to Jesus Christ. She now prays with volunteers in front of the abortion center she used to run. Planned Parenthood sued Abby Johnson and "The Coalition For Life" and the case was settled allowing Ms. Johnson the opportunity to tell her story and protest in front of the abortion center without having to disclose any details of her previous employment.

That's the power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who changed the heart of an abortion clinic director to a defender of the life of the unborn.

GRADUATIONS UNDER ATTACK BY THE ACLU

The American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU of Connecticut and Americans United for Separation of Church and State have demanded that school officials in Enfield, Connecticut stop holding high school graduation ceremonies at a Christian church and instead hold them at any of a number of secular locations available in the area.  

In a letter sent to the attorney for the Enfield Public Schools, the ACLU and Americans United say that graduating students, their families and other guests are unconstitutionally and "coercively subjected to religious messages as the price of attending high school commencement," and that "students and family members of minority religions, as well as those who do not subscribe to any religion at all, are immersed in a religious environment of a faith not their own." 

The ACLU and Americans United plan to sue the district if it refuses to change the location of its graduations.   "In our constitutional system, public schools should not be in the business of embracing particular faiths or religious viewpoints," said Daniel Mach, Director of Litigation at the ACLU Program on Freedom of Religion and Belief. "The graduation ceremony is a significant event in the lives of students and their families, and no one should feel like a second-class participant during this important celebration."  

The graduation ceremonies for both Enfield High School and Enrico Fermi High School have been held for several years at The First Cathedral in Bloomfield, CT, a 120,000 square foot facility.  Four other area public schools � East Hartford High School, South Windsor High School, Windsor High School and the Metropolitan Learning Center Magnet School � also have been using The First Cathedral for their graduations.

The ACLU has threatened a lawsuit if the Enfield Public Schools do not comply to their demands. Once again the ACLU is trying to destroy our graduations. First they fight to prevent a prayer in our graduations, now they don�t even want a graduation in a Christian facility.

NEW BIRTH CERTIFICATE POLICY IN ILLINOIS

The ACLU claims another victory!

In a tragic reversal of two policies restricting who can obtain accurate birth certificates after sex reassignment surgery, the state of Illinois has issued new, accurate birth certificates to three transgender persons born in Illinois. All three individuals had been denied birth certificates with the correct gender listed on the documents and are challenging the denials in an ACLU lawsuit against the state. Two persons were denied because they chose a surgeon who practiced overseas and was not licensed in the United States. The third plaintiff was denied because the Department required surgery that was not medically necessary for him.

�I am a woman and now I have a birth certificate that reflects this reality,� said Victoria Kirk, one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit who recently received a corrected birth certificate. �To see that the state of Illinois now � officially � recognizes this transition, and that I�ll never have to fear embarrassment in those circumstances where I present the birth certificate, is a welcome change. I am pleased to see the state make this policy shift.�

A new policy adopted by the Illinois Department of Vital Records now permits many transgender individuals in Illinois and across the nation to receive a new birth certificate that reflects their accurate gender following sex reassignment surgery overseas. The Department has also announced that it will formulate new standards for determining how much surgery will be required before a transgender person will be provided a birth certificate listing the correct gender marker.
